The nurse needs to be careful not to bend the head too far as it may block the infants breathing. Check to see if the infant is still breathing and if not insure not to pinch nose. Breath over the infants mouth and nose but insuring that its at a slow rate and watching the chest rise. The nurse will also have to check the pulse of the infant.
