What was the purpose of the potsdam declaration novanet?

This declaration was a final ultimatum to the Japanese people and government. It came from a meeting of the Allied powers and held that Japan would face total destruction if it did not surrender. This was also the time in which the use of atomic force was threatened against a nation and its people.
