Geoffrey Chaucer was born in 1340 in London, England. He died in October 25, 1400 in London, England. Chaucer was the first to be buried in Westminster Abbey’s Poet’s Corner.

He became a public servant in 1357. He worked for Countess Elizabeth of Ulster and continued with the British court. The Canterbury Tales became his most important work.
