Sandwich glass was pressed into molds to take on the appearance of a cut pattern. Sandwich glass is any of the myriad types of glass made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works in Sandwich, Massachusetts, between 1825. and 1888. The designs were often inspired or copied by English and Irish cut glass patterns.
