x = -2

Explanation:

f(x) = 2( x^2 +9x -5x - 45)

f(x) = 2(x^2 + 4x - 45)

f(x) = 2x^2 +8x -90

axis of symmetry formula: x = -b / 2a

x = -(8) / 2(2)

x = -8 / 4

x = -2

*you can also graph the equation on a graphing calculator and find the middle of the parabola
