Which statements are true about the ordered pair (2,3) and the system of equations?

3x+4y=18
2x-2y=2

Select each correct answer.

A) The ordered pair (2,3) is a solution to the system of linear equations.
B) The ordered pair (2,3) is not a solution to the system of linear equations.
C) When (2,3) is substituted into the second equation, the equation is true.
D) When (2,3) is substituted into the second equation, the equation is false.
E) When (2,3) is substituted into the first equation, the equation is false.
F) When (2,3) is substituted into the first equation, the equation is true.

lets do some subbing......(2,3)...x = 2 and y = 3

3x + 4y = 18
3(2) + 4(3) = 18
6 + 12 = 18
18 = 18.....so (2,3) is a solution for this equation

2x - 2y = 2
2(2) - 2(3) = 2
4 - 6 = 2
-2 = 2....nope, so (2,3) is not a solution for this equation

B. The ordered pair (2,3) is not a solution to the system of equations...because for it to be a solution, it would have to satisfy both equations.
D. When (2,3) is substituted into the 2nd equation, it is false
F. When (2,3) is substituted into the 1st equation, it is true
