The type of fault that is formed is called REVERSE FAULT.
Faults refers to breaks in the rocks that are found in the earth crust. Fault is characterized by the movement of rocks on either the right and the left side or on both sides relative to each other. There are different types of faults based on the type of fractures which the rocks undergo. A reverse fault is a type of fault in which movement by one rock leave the other one in place with overhanging.
