20% solution+70% solution=50% solutiontotal is 50so the quantaties are x and 50-x (x+50-x=50)0.2(50-x)+0.7(x)=0.4(50)solve
distribute10-0.2x+0.7x=2010+0.5x=20minus 10 both sides0.5x=10times 2 x=20
The answer is 20
