First Generation OD (organizational development) focused on the individual organizational member's behavior and interpersonal relationships as it relates to productivity and efficiency. Second Generation OD focuses on the future of the organization and requires that the leader do a lot of planning and coordinating to lead the organization in the best possible direction.
