Birds act as a reservoir and host for the West Nile Virus. It has an Important role in the transmission of West Nile Virus. Although reptiles can also act as host but less competent than birds. Non-vector transmission has been found to be important in some species but it is worth to investigate whether birds and mammals get infected by eating reptiles.
