Retinitis pigmentosa is a genetic disorder of the eyes that causes decreased peripheral vision, which could progress to tunnel vision and will make the rod photoreceptor and cone photoreceptor cells of the retina to deteriorate causing blindness. Furthermore, finding dark deposit pigments in the retina is a basis for its diagnosis and this eye disorder has no cure.
