The answer would be "A HERB" because you only use " an" when the following word starts with A,E,I,O,and U. Because if you read this, " i have an banana" that wont make sense so now read this, "i have a banana" that one makes sense. Hope this helped.

It should be a herb because herb does not start with a vowel, which eliminates the need for the word an.
