Explain the difference between rotation and revolution?

When an object turns around it’s internal axis (the earth turns on its axis) its a rotation. When an object turns around an external object (earth going around the sun) is a revolution.

Sample Response: Rotation occurs when an object spins about its own axis. Revolution occurs when one object moves around another object.
