For first 30 minutes the rate of change of mass

= M2 – M1/ time taken

= 16 g – 12.5/30

= 0.12 g/min

For first 30 minutes the rate of change of volume

= V2 – V1/ time taken

= 14 -10 cm3/ 30 min

= 0.13 cm3/ min
