Can you turn this sentence into an equation please? Three times twenty one more than a number is twelve. What is that number?

3(n+21) = 12 n= -17

Explanation:

3n + 63 = 12

3n = -51

n = -51/3

n= -17

x + 3 * 21 = 12
x + 63 = 12
x = 12-63
x = -51
