In Ender’s Game, Ender is saved by Dink, who said that Ender couldn’t be killed because of how important Ender is to the survival of the Human race.
Bonzo was jealous of Ender, but when Dink said that he got even more jealous. Even though the situation got worse, the teachers didn’t save him because they wanted Ender to stick up for himself and learn that sometimes he can't have help. However, Ender still believes that the teachers would come to stop Bonzo if he was injuring him badly.
