I sit in class, hunched over my desk, searching for a solution to my math problem

I am a heron. motionless in the river, waiting to snatch a fish out of the muddy water.

What does the metaphor in lines 3-4 help the reader understand?

A) The speaker wishes she were fishing instead of doing math
B) The speaker is intently awaiting the answer to a math problem
C) The speaker is daydreaming about what it would be like to be a heron
D) The speaker wishes she could fly away like a heron instead of being in school.
