Ratio defined as a relationship between two numbers indicating how many times the first number contains the second.

i.e, a to b or a: b

By using ratio:


(pints)/(Fluid oz) =(0.0625)/(1)

As we need 16 fluid ounces

Multiply by 1 in the form of i,e
(16)/(16)


(16)/(16) * (0.0625)/(1)= (16 * 0.0625)/(16)=(1 pints)/(16 fluid oz)

Therefore, for 16 fluid ounces we need 1 containers of 1 pints each
