Read the excerpt from "The Gift of the Magi." "Don't make any mistake, Dell," [Jim] said, "about me. I don't think there's anything in the way of a haircut or a shave or a shampoo that could make me like my girl any less” Jim’s quote expresses the theme that beauty disappearslove is a distractionbeauty is a priceless treasurelove outweighs physical attraction

love outweighs physical attraction

why? he said even if his girls gets a haircut, shampoo, or shave, he wont like his girl any less. This means no matter what she looks like, his love for her will overpower it

I hope this helps!
