Animals and plants are multicellular organisms that are made up of different types of cells. Some examples of specialized animal cells including blood, muscle, and epithelial cells. All of these cells arise from the single cell through mitosis, but they all have different structures and functions. What is the name of the process that occurs that allows such unique cells to arise from one cell?
