I assume you mean that it starts now at 3 ft and grows 1 foot in 10 years, and that you are asking how tall it is in 10 years -- in which case, it is 3 + 1 which is 4 ft.

A tree is 3 feet tall. And it will grow another 1 foot in the next 10 years. How tall will it be?
