In North Carolina the Outer Banks are Important. During the 1500's settlers came into Hatteras. Due to the settlements many native tribes disappeared by time the 17th century came around. John White and 116 other English settlers were the first to settle. 3 years after the settlement a group of settlers came back and noticed the once colony has disappeared, which is where the "Lost Colony" comes from. there are rumors and stories but that is all they are stories.
