The process through which medical students learn the skills, knowledge, and values of medicine as an occupation is referred to as "Professional socialization".
Professional socialization is the procedure by which people secure the Specialized knowledge,skills, attitudes,values,_norms, and interests expected to play out their expert jobs acceptably. The accompanying associating spaces of potential expert self-development can be characterized as results of the socialization procedure: Self-picture, job idea, attitudes,_values,and identity.
