Hi there!

Answer:

=(-11)

*The answer must have a negative sign.*

Explanation:

Lesson: Add/Subtract Integers

First, you remove parenthesis first.

-2-9

Then, you add by the numbers from left too right.

2+9=11;-2-9=-11

=-11

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

-2 + (-9)

Because we're adding a negative number, it's the same as just subtracting that number.

-2 - 9

Now, we just subtract 9 from -2, which gives us -11.
