Why were removals so deadly for the Native Americans? There were many elder people who had difficulties traveling. The journey was long and dangerous because of unfavorable seasons. Native Americans fought amongst one another on the journey. Military supervisors treated the tribes harshly.

I would say the second option.Nature is harsh on anybody when the weather or terrain is not in ur favor.
