The supplement of an angle is 4 more than twice it’s complement . Find the measure of the angel . ( if you can explain that would help a lot thanks !)

let the angle be x, then 180 - x is it's supplement and 90 - x it's complement.

thus

180 - x = 2(90 - x) + 4 ( supplement = 4 more than twice complement )

180 - x = 180 - 2x + 4

180 - x = 184 - 2x ( add 2x to both sides )

180 + x = 184 ( subtract 180 from both sides )

x = 4

Thus angle = 4°

As a check

supplement = 180 - 4 = 176

and 2(90 - 4 ) + 4 = (2 × 86 ) + 4 = 172 + 4 = 176 ← checks
