The answer can't be the Maryland Province, since it was founded in 1632 as an English colony. The Plymouth colony was founded was founded during the reign of King James 1st in 1620. The Pennsylvania colony was founded in 1681 on March 4th by William Penn. Pennsylvania is derived from the surname Penn, and the Latin word for woods, sylvia. It means "Penn's woods." The last choice left is Jamestown colony, which in fact was settled in Virginia in 1607.
