How did the cotton gin increases the demand for enslaved labor?

Although the cotton gin made it easier for planters to the seed from the plant, the planters still needed slaves to work in the fields to grow and harvest the crop. The cotton gin made cotton more profitable and therefore created a stronger demand for both slaves and land.

well, basically it increased with the help of the machine making it avaible for people to use, the more they needed people to be working or using it increasing the process and making it avaible to need slaves to work it. the cotton gin made it more profitable (hope this helped)
