When scientists refer to the DNA to RNA to protein pathway, the RNA part really represent three types of RNA different: messenger RNA (mRNA), transfer RNA (tRNA) and ribosomal RNA (rRNA). How is each type of RNA to protein production important? ?

Messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules carry the coding sequences for protein synthesis and are called transcripts; ribosomal RNA (rRNA) molecules form the core of a cell's ribosomes
