During the 1920's the economy's total wealth doubled in size. everyone lived a lavish lifestyle and bought a lot of things on credit. people partied and drank a lot. during these days women would wear smaller clothes and were more promiscuous. it was the time of jazz bands, bootleggers flappers etc. Americans lived so freely during this time, not worrying much about if they had an income to support their lifestyle. nevertheless it lead to the great stock market crash "Black Thursday" that lead to the great depression.
