Given : x - 2y = 5

Multiplying the entire equation with 3, we get :

3x - 6y = 15 --------------- [1]

Given : 3x + 15y = -6 ---------------- [2]

Subtracting Equation [2] from Equation [1], We get :

⇒ (3x - 6y) - (3x + 15y) = 15 + 6

⇒ -6y - 15y = 21

⇒ -21y = 21

⇒ y = -1

Substituting y = -1 in Equation [1], We get :

⇒ 3x + 6 = 15

⇒ 3x = 9

⇒ x = 3

So, the solution to the system is : x = 3 and y = -1

First Blank : 3

Second Blank : -1
