The slope-intercept form: y = mx + b.

Parallel lines have the same slope.

k: y = 83x, l: y = mx + b

l ║k ⇒ l: y = 83x + b

Substitute the coordinates of the point (1, 2) to the equation of a line l :

2 = 83(1) + b

2 = 83 + b subtract 83 from both sides

-81 = b → b = -81

Answer: y = 83x - 81.
