on 3 you subract 36-3 on 4 make the fraction a decimal by dividing the numerator by the denominator and then subtract 12 by the decimal you get and I'm pretty sure you should get both your answers.

Answer:

3) 1 / 12

4) 1 / 27

Explanation:

3)

What number you divide it with 3 to make 36?

In other words what number you multiply with 36 to get 3?

When you multiply 36 by 1/12 you get 3.

Same way when you divide 3 with 1/12 you get 36.

4) Same as question 3.

Ask yourself:

What number you divide it with 4/9 to get 12?

or What number you multiply with 12 to get 4/9?

12 time 1/27 is same as 4/9

12 * 1/27 = 12/27 and when you reduce that you get 4/9.

//Hope it helps
