A professional baseball diamond is a 90 foot square with a base in each corner. How far does a catcher have to throw a ball to get it from home plate to catch a runner sidling into second base?

Answer:

well, since a real baseball diamond is 90 feet on each side then the distance from homebase to second is 127 feet 3 3/8 inches
