Justinian served as emperor of the Byzantine Empire from 527 to 565. ... He also sponsored the codification of laws known as the Codex Justinianus (Code of Justinian) and directed the construction of several important cathedrals, including the Hagia Sophia ( I don’t know much of religion but hopefully that information helps you)
