Making a journey along the Silk Road was difficult for a number of reasons. Some of the geographic features it included, such as the rocky mountains, rivers, deserts, and difficult terrains made the journey quite difficult. Traveler's who were willing to cross this road had to make decisions about the occurring weather, illnesses, limited resources, and the long distance didn't help much either.
