Even thought Apostle Paul was very important in a small Christian movement, he did have a lot of enemies, to the point where he was pressured to struggle. Because of that, he wrote letters (his epistles) that had a big impact in Christianity. Because of him writing the letters after the struggles he's been through because of his enemies, he is one of the greatest religious leaders of all time.
