Why is the self-esteem of adults usually higher than that of teens?

I think it’s bc adults have had more time to learn not to be so self conscious and have learned not to care about negative opinions others have about you. Hope this helps

I think maybe because teens have more pressure in school with their looks and everything. Adults usually become more successful in life after they graduate, I guess. Not all adults do, but it usually helps. If that makes sense.
