Immediately after the September 11, 2001 Terror Attacks, 17 years ago, the rallying cry was "United We Stand".

Have we kept to that spirit of unity alive or have we forgotten the lesson presented to us by Sandy Dahl? What can we do to improve our understanding of not only ourselves, but cultures very different from us?

The spirit of Unity has died but that doesn't neccessarily we forgot our lesson.

Our countries gov't and regulations have imrpoved exponentially since 2001 and continue to improve to avoid another event like 2001. We constantly learn about ourselves through research which many colleges conduct privately each year. We can readily learn from other cultures by reading their point of view and understanding how their opinion differs from ours.
