(- 3, 2 ) is a solution to the system of equations

To determine if the point is a solution, substitute the x and y coordinates into the left side of each equation and if equal to the right side then the point is a solution.

using x = - 3 and y = 2, then

(6 × - 3 ) + (6 × 2 ) = - 18 + 12 = -6 → Correct

(5 × - 3 ) + 2 = - 15 + 2 = - 13 → Correct

(- 3, 2 ) is a solution to the system
