Peter ran 2.63 miles. Round his distance to the nearest mile

It would be 3 miles because 2.63 look at the numbers after the decimal, u see that 63 is closer to 100 then 0 so u just make it a 3. If it was closer to 0 then it would be 2 miles, but its not so thats y its 3miles. Hopes this helps you.

2.63=3miles

Key: Look to see if the number is closest to 100 or 0

If it is a number like 2.263 then you would have to look to see if the numbers behind the decimal is closes to 300 or 0.

2.5miles, because you would not round all the way back up to 3 miles.
