How do you think Hamilton and jefferson differed in their. views of the whiskey rebellion

Jefferson believed in giving power to the common people and limiting the government and Hamilton implemented a tax on whiskey to help the war effort but only benefited the wealthy people and the one's in government. So Jefferson was for the people and Hamilton for the powerful.
