What becomes of a case where a state level supreme justice is impeached after they denied an appeal

It depends on who they are denied by. Judges can appeal their impeachment to the US Supreme Court and if they deny the appeal, the impeachment stands. At every terminal point in the appeal, the appeal either stands or is vacated.
