Prepared claims which are generated by Practice Management Program (PMPs) can be electronically transmitted to the claim payers either in printed for or through the use of electronic mail (E-mail). However, most of the claims in health care are usually transmitted electronically and not through the use of paper documents.
The following procedures can be followed for claim transmission and they are
1. Information about the patient demographic and insurance must be recorded
2. Ensure that diagnosis are recorded
3. Payment of charges of the patients
4. Create and transmit the claim
