Why did Jesús give himself as the sacrifice for out sins

Hey there!

As told in the bible, Jesus gave himself as our ransom sacrifice to pay for our sins. In the King's James version bible it states:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"

So as we can see, God gsve his son in order so those faithful to him would not perish.
