What are the drawbacks of direct democracy?

It's inefficient because there are too many people involved.

One drawback of direct democracy, is that it is a pretty slow moving form of government, even when it is doing good. Since every person has the right to share their opinion and express their desires through voting, enough time must be given to allow for this to occur, and overall, makes the process very slow.
