40% for number 1 So all you have to do is identify the parts of the equation. We don't know the percent, but we know everything else, so we can plug what we know into the equation

22 = p* 55

divide by 55

22/55 = p

.4 = p

40 percent


24 = .40 * m

divide by .40

24/.4 = m
