Alaska rocks, much more than the rest of the United States. The northernmost state, which happens to straddle the border of two tectonic plates, gets hit with a magnitude 7 earthquake almost every year

Answer:

The west coast of the United States is an earthquake-prone area. It is because of the sharing of a transform plate boundary between the Pacific Plate and the North American. These two plates slide past one another. As a result of which shallow-focus hazardous earthquakes occur. The earthquakes in these regions occur frequently and with a very high magnitude, causing a lot of damages to the properties and also kills people.

The places in which most of the hazardous earthquakes occur in the United States are California, Alaska, Hawaii, Kansas, and Kentucky. In addition to these, some more places are there where earthquakes occur.
