It should be 12×18. 1:3 means you take where it's at, at 1 and multiply it's size by 3.

Answer:

The dimensions of the picture after she enlarges it is:

12×18

Explanation:

It is given that:

Heather wants to enlarge a 4 x 6 in picture using a scale factor of 1:3.

This means that the dimension of the enlarged picture will be three times the dimensions of the original picture.

i.e. one of the side will be: 4×3=12

and the other side will be: 6×3=18

Hence, the dimensions are: 12×18
