So we need to start by using point slope form.

The general forumla of point slope is:

Y-Y_1=m(X-X_1)

Y₁ Is the Y Coordinate, X₁ is the X Coordinate, and M is the slope. So we plug these numbers into our formula.

Y--7 = 3(X--4)\\Y+7=3(X+4)

Now, In order to solve in slope-intercept form, we have to isloate the Y and make sure it follows Y = mx+b so.

Y+7 = 3(x+4)\\Y+7 = 3x+12\\Y=3x+5

So the equation is Y = 3x+5
